Already have Photoshop? Adobe’s previous multiplatform sketching app, Onshape Paint, offered a collaborative networking feature specifically designed to encourage creatives to come up with and share ideas on images created with a pen or pencil. While that software is no longer available, you can still grab a copy of the desktop software you used to use—free.

The newest edition of Photoshop updated copy-paste support from Illustrator to Photoshop, making it easier to move text layers and other typographic properties. The image adjustments include Exposure, Shadow, Light, Brightness, Contrast, High Contrast, All Blacks, Blacks, Whites, Whites, Blacks, Shadows, Highlights, and Contrast. Once you make your adjustments, the software can tweak the Fairlight settings of your entire image. With a Fairlight Preset, the adjustment can be done in just one click.

When you edit photos using Elements, your adjustments usually travel with you when you move files to other machines. Moreover, when you save a file, the adjustment information is embedded in the file’s metadata. The resulting file maintains all the information about your changes, including the details about your editing settings and which adjustments you made.
